August 22: Reading club
Join musician Tony Prophet at the Memorial Peace Park bandstand at 11 a.m. for a morning of songs. This event is part of the library's summer reading club entertainment. Prophet will also be at the Pitt Meadows Library's summer reading club wrap-up extravaganza and medal ceremony that takes place from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. in Spirit Square. In case of rain, the ceremony will be in the library, where, due to space restrictions, only ticket holders may attend.
August 22: Heritage

The last concert in the Music on the Wharf Concert Series 2013 takes place at the Port Haney Wharf with Penelope Above at 7 p.m. The series is put on by the Maple Ridge Historical Society. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair as seating is very limited.

The North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association is now preparing for their fall 2013 horseback riding program. They need volunteers to help groom and tack up their horses, as well as lead and side walk with the riders. Horse experience is great but not required.
