Garibaldi Secondary student Sara Stanley is holding a car wash on Sunday at Kirmac Collision, 228th Street and Dewdney Trunk Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to raise money for a volunteer work trip she’s making to Ecuador next year. The volunteer trip next year is taking place through the organization Free the Children.

The volunteer work trip includes construction of a school, teaching English to local children, and learning how to break the cycle of poverty. The car wash takes place in the case of light rain or shine and features well-washed cars, music, and smiles. Car washes are by donation.
