Historical society looks for members
Residents are welcome to join a group that promotes Maple Ridge's history
Maple Ridge Historical Society is looking for locals to get involved in its activities.
The upcoming annual general meeting scheduled for next Thursday will include an overview of this past year's activities.
"It's a good way to have an introduction to what we do," said Allison White, curator of the Maple Ridge Museum.
The society is looking for more members to join, and White said the AGM is a good venue to meet other members. The historical society runs the museum on 116th Avenue and Haney House on 224th Street.
The AGM will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 6: 30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Heritage Church, 22279 116th Ave., Maple Ridge.
The meeting includes a potluck dinner and participants are asked to bring their own plates and cutlery.
