Local author Annette LeBox has expanded from literary to visual arts and is showing her paintings at the 3 Crows Gallery and Giftware in Mission starting today and running until May.

The exhibit, called Dreaming in Technicolor, includes eight paintings done on acrylic.

She will be joined by another Maple Ridge artist, Jack Prasad, as well as artists Stephen Gibbons Barrett and Rita Carrington.

This is the first time LeBox has had her artwork on display, and while she is a member of the Garibaldi Art Club, she hasn’t had the confidence to show her work publicly yet.

“It’s given me a big boost of confidence,” she said about the upcoming art show.

The official opening of the show is on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be art demos, live music, and more.

LeBox will be there from 5 to 6 p.m.

The 3 Crows Gallery and Giftware is at 33130 1st Ave., Mission.
