For those who have passed by The TIMES office of late, the missing "i" from our sign might have been apparent.

While the natural instinct would be to replace it, instead, publisher Spencer Levan has conceived of a fun contest to help The TIMES readers test their knowledge of the community, while also offering them exciting ways to experiment with this new and innovative, interactive newspaper.

Levan is launching the "Where am 'i'?" contest, and he's asking readers to help locate the missing "i."

Okay, the "i" from our sign is not actually missing, although it's no longer affixed to the building.

So each week for the next year, our team will take pictures of that "i" in different locations around town - like this one above - and ask readers to Like us on Facebook then tell us where the "i" is located each week.

All readers have to do is Layar the weekly pictures in the newspaper with their smartphone, click on the "Answer on Facebook" button, and type in your answer telling us where the picture of the "i" was taken.

With that, each reader is automatically in the running. There will be prizes, such as Blizzards, rec passes, or movie tickets, awarded each week.

Further, every correct weekly answer also earns readers a chance to win an "awesome grand prize package." Stay tuned for details about the big prize, which will be awarded next February.

"Join in the hunt," Levan said, "and have some fun, not only testing your community knowledge, but discovering more about The TIMES."

It's easy, he noted. Watch for a new picture every Thursday. Facebook us your answer before 9 a.m. each Monday morning, and watch for the name of the weekly winner, as well as the answer, and next week's picture.

"Thanks in advance for taking part in our contest," Levan said. "We hope this is just one fun and exciting way that we can help make our award-winning community newspaper an invaluable part of your life."
