Kids and adults wore down their dancing shoes Thursday night at Glenwood Elementary.

Organized by the Glenwood Elementary parent advisory commission (PAC), a family “Zumbathon” collected funds, food, and toys for the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society.

The remaining proceeds will go to support activities in the school, like field trips and gym equipment, noted Glenwood principal Jovo Bikic.

A $5 ticket included snacks, refreshments, an entry to win door prizes, and, of course, a chance to do some dancing on the gym floor.

The PAC collected toys, non-perishable food, and cash for the hamper society.

“A huge thanks to the Glenwood PAC for coming up with this fun family fundraiser that energized our community to lend a helping hand through dance,” Bikic said.
