Maple Ridge senior girls volleyball team won the North Delta Halloween Howler tournament on the weekend.

Dressed as black cats the team of eight girls went undefeated both days.

Bailey Soolsma was awarded most valuable player of the tournament, with an honorary mention going to Kate Head.

The girls take on Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam on Thursday at Riverside at 6:30 p.m., and if the girls win they will ensure a spot in the Fraser Valley Championships.

The boys senior team plays at Riverside at 8 p.m. in their most important game of the season. If they win they will be third in the league.
