Triple A Thunder, a Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association girls softball team in the peewee division, won a tournament in Newton over the weekend.

The girls defeated Chilliwack 9-1, Newton 9-2, and New Westminster 9-4 in round-robin games.

They defeated New Westminster again 11-2 in a four-inning mercy game.

Team members include Chelsey and Cydney Turner, Amy Hill, Carmen Partridge, Jamie Robinson, Kale'a Gjaltema, Cassidy Corbett, Megan Aird, Mackenzie Emerson, Alex Healy, Codie Wright, and Jessica Foulds.
