A pair of top-10 finishes earned Justin Shin of Maple Ridge Western Athletic Conference golfer of the week honours.

Shin, a junior at New Mexico State, followed up a tie for ninth at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz., with a tie for second at the Western Intercollegiate tourney in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Shin shared second place with UCLA's Patrick Cantlay, who was fresh off his low amateur finish at the Masters earlier this month. Shin and Cantlay were two shots behind winner Pat-rick Rogers of UCLA.

North Vancouver's Eugene Wong, a University of Oregon senior, finished in fifth spot. Wong followed that up with a tie for third this past weekend to help his Oregon Ducks win the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas.
