The Canadian Paralympic Committee has put out a call for nominations for induction into the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame.
The committee encourages all members of the community to look to members, athletes, coaches, leaders, and others for those who could qualify as recipients of this prestigious award in one of three categories: athlete, coach, or builder. The 2013 forms are available at www.paralympic.ca/halloffame. All nominations must be received by March 15.
Inductees will be invited to attend the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on May 10, in Toronto.
The Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame selection committee will be seeking nominees who meet a number of criteria, including: Athletic performance at the Paralympic Games and awards received contribution to the Paralympic Movement (for Athletes); Influence on Paralympic athlete or team success, technical innovations and contributions to the development of the sport and/or coaching community (for coaches), and has made a distinguished contribution to the development of Paralympic sport (builder).

Initiated in 2000, the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the Paralympic Movement in Canada. These individuals will be acknowledged within the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame honoured members section located in the Olympic and Paralympic Gallery at Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in Calgary.
