Saturday afternoon was a break time for Pitt Meadows Secondary Marauders Air Force while they waited to play in the championship game against Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
The 2013 Marauder Air Show Invitational Senior Boys Basketball tournament started off on Thursday with Pitt Meadows beating the Mount Boucherie Bears 80-59. Top scorers were Jordan Rich with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Alejandro Canjura and Sebastien Marshall both got 14.
“The next game against Cowichin was another slaughter, which was surprising because [Cowichan] had won the day before in double overtime,” coach Rich Goulet told The TIMES..
“And last night we played a very good team from a private school on the Island. That score was 73-68. It was a tight game,” added Goulet.
Marshall led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds, Canjura earned 18 points, and Rich had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
