Two Maple Ridge teams were fighting for a spot in the top on Tuesday afternoon at the provincial senior womens' triples held at the Maple Ridge Lawn Bowling Club.
But it was Team Davies that took the win away from Team Crossley and moved on to play on Wednesday for the chance to represent B.C. at nationals.
However, Team Davies - which included skip Lil Davies, vice Pat Webster, and lead Janice Pattinson - had to settle for bronze.
Team Crossley was made up of skip Wendy Crossley, vice Faye Meek, and lead Betty Woodward.
In the gold-medal match on Wednesday it was Team Cluetnix against Team Au.
Team Cluetnix was made up of skip Marlene Cluetnix, Josephine Lee, and Ann Van Bastelaere. Team Au consisted of skip On Kow Au, Mary Wright, and Juanita Tucker.
The gold medal match was still going strong at press time and it was anyone's game, according to the club's spokesperson George Cubiss.
Nationals take place in Regina, Sask. in September.
Earlier in the week the club hosted the provincial senior mens' triples, which was won by the Richmond team.
The Maple Ridge men placed third.
The triumphant Richmond team made up of Michael Shea, Peter Cheon, and San Wan, who will represent B.C. for the men.
The bronze winning Maple Ridge men's team was made up of Cubiss, Peter Davies, and Tony Webster.
At the end of the month, June 30, the club will host its mixed handicap singles.
