The Ridge Meadows Junior Knights bantam football team lost Saturday to the Langley Bears, 40-0.

On special teams, Jack Dillen led the kickoff, with Jake Loftus kicking a long one towards the side lines.

Mark Podschadly took over as quarterback for the second half. He led a drive all the way down to the Bears 20-yard line.

There was great effort this week by Sean Roy and Callum Harris. Their next game is Saturday, Sept. 22 at Samuel Robertson Technical against the Chilliwack Red Junior B team.

Peewee Blue Knights beat North Langley Bears 14-0.

The offensive line led by Mason Robinson, Joseph Murphy, Chase Wise, and Liam Mountford controlled the line of scrimmage allowing big runs for touchdowns by quarterback Tyler Spencer and running-back Liam Cumarasamy.

Defensively the Knights contained the Bears running game, with corner-backs Kurtis Brown, James Ross, half-backs Riley Celino, Jackson Smith, and defensive-ends Sebastian Berg and James Grimason all making key tackles of the day.

The Peewee Gold Knights defeated the Misson Niners 36-0 on Saturday at Samuel Robertson Technical.

Dryden Pollon led the offence with two long touchdown runs and kicked three converts.

Cody Stewart and Harrison Longhi controlled the Niner defence and opened large holes for the Gold Knights. On defence Jevon Anutooshkin, Ciaran Davies, and Sean Combs played solid and allowed Mission only a few first downs. The Gold Knights defence has not allowed a touchdown in three regular-season games played so far.

The Peewee Gold Knights next home game is Saturday at 4: 15 p.m. against the Abbotsford Falcons.

The Atom Knights travelled to Langley to take on the Bears on Saturday.

Tight-end Jacob Brass saw his first trip to the end-zone as he scampered 35-yards for the score.

Offensive linemen Dominic Hryciuk and William Ferguson battled in the trenches to keep the lanes open for the ball carriers.

Hayden Cote and Seth Durante led their defence to countless backfield tackles, while linebackers Ryan Winterton and Taigan Godin locked up the outside.

The Knights missed the win this week, as the squad fell 24-12.
