The Meadowridge Peewee Gold Knights defeated the North Langley Bears 26-0 on Thursday night at Samuel Robertson Technical.

The Knights defense recorded its seventh shutout of the season. Blake Alford returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown, and Cole Leon and Anthony Tulev pressured the Bears quarterback relentlessly resulting in many rushed passes and a couple of quarterback sacks.

On offence Sean Combs scored two touchdowns on a couple of long runs. Dryden Pollon tossed a touchdown pass to Daruis Joseph.

The Gold Knight next play the Chilliwack Red Giants to close out the regular season.

The final game of the regular season for the Atom Knights brought the Chilliwack Giants to town on Saturday.

Soggy sidelines didn’t dampen the squad’s spirits as defensive linemen Trevor Carnegie and Kody Davey teamed up with Levi Spencer-Fell and Angelo Chalmers making Giant’s ball carriers earn every yard.

Tight-ends Jaxon Smart and Jacob Brass each earned some hard yards along the sidelines that kept the offensive machine rolling for the win as the Knights put the last one in the win column defeating the Giants 25-12.

The Junior Bantam Knights took on the Chilliwack Blues on Saturday.

It was a hard fought, must-win game to secure a playoff position. Chilliwack scored the first touchdown but missed their conversion. The next touchdown came from Tim Janke who received a pass from Mark Podshadly. Jake Loftus then kicked a conversion to bring the score to 8-6 for the Knights.

Chilliwack then kicked a field goal followed by a rouge from the Knights tying the game at 9-9.

The winning play was a field goal by the Chilliwack Blues to conclude the scoring at 12-9.

The last game of the season is Saturday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. at SRT against Mission.

The Bantam Knights played the Abbotsford Falcons with a loss of 35-0 on Saturday. Their next game is at 1 p.m., Nov. 3 at Langley.

The Midget team defeated North Surrey 22-17 at John Oliver Park on Sunday. Their next game is Nov. 3, 2 p.m. at SRT against the Vancouver Midgets.
