Ridge Meadows Peewee C3 Hurricane hockey team is currently in first place to win up to $3,000 in the STAGG Chili Save For Success contest.

The 11- and 12-year-old boys are neck and neck with another team and need votes.

The top five teams in the west and the top five teams in the east will win up to $3,000.

Through the course of the 2012/13 regular hockey season, the makers of STAGG Chili will contribute $1 for every save made by every goalie in every Ontario Hockey League and Western Hockey League game.

Log onto www.staggchili.ca, click on vote, then vote under the picture of the Ridge Meadows Peewee C3 Hurricane team. Voting is open once per day.

“I am so proud of our boys dedication to the sport, and think it is awesome that people all over Canada can see our cute team picture with the boys holding the cans of Stagg Chili,” said Gina Salar-Arefi, mom to Daniel.
