Meadow Gardens Ladies Club donated the $11,200 they raised at their annual charity golf tournament to the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association (NFTRA).
“We selected the NFTRA because they have a very small fundraising base, they are in our local community, and their wonderful work has touched some of our members in a very personal way,” said Judy Ennis, club captain of the Meadow Gardens Golf Club.
Therapeutic horseback riding enriches the lives of physically, emotionally, and developmentally challenged children and adults. Their quality of life is improved by the physical and emotional benefits of horseback riding.
The NFTRA is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides safe and professional therapeutic riding courses to children and adults with disabilities who live anywhere in the Lower Mainland.
