Ridge Meadows Junior B Flames beat first place Richmond Sockeyes on Friday night at Planet Ice in Maple Ridge.
In the first period, Matthew Bissett scored a power-play goal assisted by Bradley Wardner and Adam Bartsch. Two minutes later, Paul Piluso followed up with his own power-play goal, assisted by Michael Nolan and Travis Oddy.
In the second period, the Flames put the puck past the Sockeyes goalkeeper twice. Bissett scored again, with Sean Pesut assisting, and Adam Bartsch scored with help from Pesut and Bissett.
The Sockeyes scored their goals in the second and third periods.
All three stars of the game were awarded to players from the Flames. First star went to Matthew Bissett, second star to Marco Ballarin, and third star went to Wesley McLeod.
Ridge Meadows Flames sits in second place, with 10 points, in the Harold Brittain Conference.
Next home game is against the North Delta Devils on Friday, Oct. 26.
