LOCAL GOLFER SHOOTS TO WIN

Pitt Meadows golfer Henry Lee captured the British Columbia Juvenile Boys' Championships at Princeton Golf Club.

Lee, a 14-year-old from Coquitlam and member at Swane-set Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows, completed a wire-to-wire victory, holding off Vancouver's Trevor Yu and Dewdney's Jake Scarrow by three strokes.

CLOSURE DATES

The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre will be closed until the middle of September. The weight room and gymnasium reopen on Sept. 10 and the aquatics area reopens Sept. 17.
