Men's squad win at home

 

 
 
 

On Saturday the Bruins Men’s squad took on Abbotsford RFC at Telosky Stadium. The home side looked strong throughout holding the lead the majority of the game.

The Bruins strong play throughout led to a 36-24 victory for the home team.

Try scorers were Josh Ladd, Courtland Kerr, Reed Nelson, Julian Benvenuti, Logan Duke, and Keaton Riach. Nelson was also successful on conversion kicks.

Next up for the Bruins is a match against the Surrey Beavers.

Also in action were the U17 Men’s squad, who played the Meralomas from Vancouver. The Bruins were not deterred by the weather and fought hard in what would be a 47-12 loss.

The team’s tries were scored by Marlin Rheel and Ethan Marin.

Next up for the U17 Men’s squad is United Rugby Club.

Men’s and women’s teams practice at Merkley Park at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, and 7:30 p.m. at Westview Secondary on Thursdays, new members are always welcome.
