Dear Editor, You have got to be kidding me, $1.6 million for a "bike lane" on the Lougheed Highway, from 216th to Laity Streets [Lougheed bike lane construction begins, Aug. 1, The TIMES].
Scan image I'm sure there is more to it than that.
Even our illustrious leaders wouldn't be that stupid.
Not when I have people living in the bushes behind my place, or people on fixed income or volunteer their time and have to pay for parking at the hospital.
Not to mention the fact that we have to send kids to Edmonton and Toronto for transplants.
Bigger and bigger lineups at the food bank.
I have ridden and still do ride a bike in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, and I might cross the highway, but I don't ride up and down it, that would be just plain stupid.
Letters to the Editor You ride to improve your health, when you ride on the highway all you are breathing is car and truck exhaust.
