Corporations provide us a great life

Dear Editor,

It seems a lot of extreme left-wing, anti-corporation writers to The TIMES give very poor, misleading information about corporations.

Corporations are not evil, but very much the opposite. We have a great life because of corporations.

Corporations are responsible for giving us cheaper and better consumer goods.

They are responsible for our longer and healthier life. They are the ones making cheaper food products, electronics, cars, and so many products our grandparents could only have dreamt about.

Before corporations, we had individuals working for their own interest, we had corrupt socialists controlling people's lives and restricting advances to fill their agenda instead of what people wanted.

We had the rich and everyone else was poor. Now the majority are middle-class people who can enjoy the advances of the world, thanks to corporations.

Corporations do not destroy the environment. It is the voters who elect governments that do not want to spend money on the environment.

Corporations just operate within the law to produce new and better products for as low a price as possible.

If the elected government says companies can strip mine, corporations will do so to produce product at a cheaper price for the consumer benefit.

This is why we have new and better products and we can thank corporations for creating them for a well-deserved profit.

It would be fitting to have a corporation appreciation day to recognize the benefits corporations have contributed to the betterment of society.

Anyone can start a corporation and many have. However, too many just criticize the existence of corporations when they really have no understand what a corporation is, much less how they operate.
