Two people fell into the Fraser River and were holding onto a log 30 feet out from the shoreline near 22410 River Rd. when they were picked up by a boat.
“This is all unfolding as we speak. It happened 10 minutes ago,” said Ridge Meadows RCMP Staff Sgt. Mike Bhatti.
“We got a report that two females were out in the water hanging on to a log about 30 feet out and were picked up by a boat before we got there,” Bhatti explained.
Bhatti said he wasn’t aware of their ages and didn’t know yet if the rescue boat was commercial or privately owned.
