And the winner is Olwyn Geeling.
Joseph Ribkoff reps Lamar Walrond and Sara Pellatt chose Geeling's watercolour depicting a model posing in a Joseph Ribkoff dress.
Walrond and Pellatt were at Valley Fair Mall in Maple Ridge Saturday afternoon to pick a winning painting to hang in their brand new downtown Vancouver showroom.
"I'm not an art aficionado, but there are a couple pieces that are speaking to me. The colours are great," Walrond told The TIMES.
Five artists were taking part in the exhibition that showed various mediums and how each artist expresses her artistic talent, whether it be in pastels, oil, water colours, or more.
They were Galina Cooper, Gaby Morrison, Enid Dalziel, Kristin Krimmel, and Geeling. The model was Monica Nerger.
The event was organized by Margo Delanty, owner of Crystal Blu, where inside the clothing boutique, local mystery writer Cathy Ace was selling and signing copies of her books, the recently released The Corpse with the Golden Nose and The Corpse with the Silver Tongue, from the Cait Morgan Mystery series.
