A construction worker was killed Wednesday morning while working on the South Fraser Perimeter Road.

Delta police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan said emergency services were called to the 10300-block of River Road just before 11 a.m. Wednesday after a 48-year-old man was struck and killed by a dump truck on the construction site.

WorkSafe B.C. and the B.C. Coroner's Service are investigating.
