A walk at the Albion Fairgrounds will help children suffering from serious illnesses see their dreams fulfilled.

The Wishmaker Walk for Wishes, put on by the Children's Wish Foundation, takes place Saturday, Oct. 13 at noon with registration at 11 a.m. The five-kilometre walk will be followed by a celebration at 1 p.m.

The Albion walk is one of four taking place across the province.

Entertainment will include local funny guy Dilly the Clown of Click and Clown, and will also feature family activities such as prizes for top fundraisers, draws, kids' entertainment, music, and food.

Four team members under the age of five - with the highest amount of pledges - will get to ride in Dilly's circus wagon at the walk and one team member under the age seven will win a birthday party with Dilly and his puppet friends.

The foundation expects to grant 1,000 new wishes this year, each one an adventure structured to meet the needs of each individual child and family.
