A bilingual trio will bring their colourful suits and quirky, upbeat tunes to The ACT this week.

The Lost Fingers, whose members perform in both French and English, are at The ACT on Thursday, Nov. 15, back for the second time.

The trio, B.C.'s Byron Mikaloff on guitar, Christian Roberge also on guitar, and Alex Morissette, a jazz bassist, met at the Quebec Conservatory of Music.

The band's name is inspired by gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt who lost the use of two fingers following a fire and whose unique style of gypsy jazz influences the band.

In terms of 2008 domestic sales by Canadian artists, their debut album, Lost in the 80s, was second only to Nickelback's Dark Horse.

Within 12 weeks of its release it earned platinum certification for more than 100,000 sales in Quebec alone.

With two Juno Award nominations in 2009, sold-out shows at the Cultural Oympiad and at The ACT in 2010, audiences can enjoy songs from their previous albums and their recently released fourth album La Marquise.

Their accomplishments are plenty and have been achieved all within six short years of their meeting.

The concert is presented by the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Arts Council, a not-for-profit society dedicated to building vibrant arts and culture in the region and providing excellence in artistic presentations, customer and member service.

The Lost Fingers will be at The ACT on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students, and are on sale at The ACT ticket centre.
