Pitt Meadows resident Victoria White recently returned from a tour of the south. While in Tennessee, she stopped off in Nashville and Memphis. The Memphis leg included a visit to Sun Studio, where Elvis made his first record, as well as Graceland – where she had a picture taken holding a copy of her hometown newspaper, The TIMES. As well, she stopped off at the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot. The motel is now the National Civil Rights Museum. Her trip also included stops in Nashville and New Orleans, as well as an excursion into Mississippi.
