Three more cities join

Three more communities are joining the District of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows in the mobile business licencing program.

Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody agreed to implement a one-year inter-municipal business licence pilot.

In November, nine communities including Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows joined the pilot project.

The premise is that a multi-municipality licence will make it easier for businesses to operate in those communities.

The MBL reduces red tape by allowing mobile businesses to operate in more than one municipality by purchasing one licence, rather than obtaining non-resident permits in each municipality in which they operate.
