Thieves gained entry to the Golden Ears Jewellers at Meadowvale Shopping Centre and made off with some loot.

Sometime over the night of Tuesday, Feb. 5 and morning of Wednesday, Feb. 6, they gained entry through two vacant stores and then cut a hole in the wall between an empty store and the jewellery store.

“The thieves would’ve had to take considerable time and effort to break in to the adjoining businesses, and police are hoping someone heard or saw something,” said Ridge Meadows RCMP Corp. Alanna Dunlop

The suspects managed to steal approximately $2,000 of various gold jewelry items, including pendants and rings, as well as workman’s tools from one of the empty stores.

Police have few leads to follow up at this time, and are asking for anyone with any information regarding this crime to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251. To remain anonymous call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online at www.bccrimestoppers.com.
