Marilynn MacDonald of Pitt Meadows and Haney's Todd Oliver - both long-time volunteers with the Christmas Haven - helped set up tables and wrap gifts at The ACT on Friday, Dec. 21. The preparations were being made for tonight's (Monday, Dec. 24) Christmas Haven. This annual event is a traditional holiday meal for people who otherwise might not be able to afford to celebrate Christmas or don't have someone to spend the holidays with. The event, which starts at 6 p.m. at The ACT, 11944 Haney Pl. in Maple Ridge, includes the dinner and a visit from Santa. For more information, visit www.christmashaven.ca. Stay tuned to The TIMES (both print and online at www.mrtimes.com) for coverage of the Christmas Eve event.
