The names of each of the seven Evergreen Line stops are expected to be announced within coming weeks, according to the line's project management team.

Executive project director Amanda Farrell told Coquitlam council Monday the names have already been finalized, though no name change is expected for the line itself.

"TransLink has, I think, talked to the municipalities and has finalized the station names and expects to announce those shortly . I can tell you in the coming few weeks, they will be announced," she said.

Farrell also noted underground tunnel work is expected to begin in Port Moody this month, while other substantive works are slated to get underway in the Burquitlam area this spring.

About 80 per cent of the projects classified as "early works" have also been completed. They include transmission line relocation and BC Hydro pole installation near Como Lake Avenue and Clarke Road.

The preliminary work that still needs to be completed includes the widening of North Road and the relocation of CPR tracks in Port Moody.

The line is expected be in service by the summer of 2016.
