For the eighth consecutive year, Meadowridge School has marked Chinese New Year with a Lion Dance Parade throughout the school. The parade featured many of the school's 251 students in junior kindergarten through Grade 5, including junior kindergarten's Brendan Lu  being helped by teacher Tricia Liversidge, as well as Grade 5's Edward Riddell, and members of the kindergarten class who sat mesmerized as it passed by the library.
