Maple Ridge's Alexandria Maillot is a finalist in Vancouver's Variety's Got Talent competition.

She is one of 11 finalists selected to perform at the finals on Feb. 3 at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond.

On Tuesday, Variety Club announced top contenders in its province-wide contest for teenage performers. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, including music manager Bruce Allen and Vince Ditrich from Spirit of the West.

Now 19, Maillot was 13 when she won the inaugural Victoria Idol contest. She is also a past winner of the PNE Shaw Star Discovery Talent Search and has performed at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival.

Variety Club is a non-profit organization raising funds for children who have special needs.
