A 51-year-old male cyclist was rushed to hospital after a hit-and-run in the 24100 block of Dewdney Trunk Road early Wednesday morning.
Police are hunting for the driver who struck him from behind, then fled the scene at about 5:30 a.m. Nov. 14.
The cyclist, who was wearing reflective clothing, a bike helmet, and a light, was travelling west at the time. He was knocked off his bike, and found on the ground on the roadside by a passerby.
He suffered facial injuries, but they were not believed to be life threatening and he reported to the police station later in the day to retrieve his bike.
In the meantime, Mounties are still asking for witnesses to the incident, asking them to call the local RCMP detachment at 604-463-6251.
