Dear Editor,
Please help put an end to the betrayal of all sense of reason ['Everyone was getting pictures' of rave sex, witness says, Nov. 28, www.mrtimes.com].
Unquestionably, prosecuting someone who is only barely an adult for re-posting photos of third-party consensual acts taken in a public setting is not what the child pornography laws were intended to address.
I hope the political or career motivations of those perpetrating the destruction of a young man's life (to say nothing of the legal costs incurred) allow them to sleep at night.
A far better use of system resources would be to slap the wrists of the RCMP and anyone crying "Wolf!"
Or must truth and reason always lose out to hyperbole and distorted political correctness these days?
