Missing a ring? Police have eight ladies rings which they took off a man who could not explain why he had them.

Police suspect the rings were stolen from either a jewelry store or during a break and enter.

"One of our general duty patrol officers located these rings during a traffic stop. The rings all appear to belong to a female, or a number of women, and the suspect could not explain why he was in possession of them," said Ridge Meadows Cpl. Alanna Dunlop.

"We're asking for anyone who has recently had women's rings stolen, to speak with our investigator and see if any of these rings belong to them," Dunlop added.

In addition, police are asking any jewelry store owners to contact them if they know anything about these rings.

The rings will be held for three months at the Ridge Meadows RCMP detachment. Contact Const. Lewis Walker at 604-463-6251.
