Const. Ryan Henley, a Ridge Meadows RCMP youth resource officer, posed with a Sicilian burro that escaped from its owner late last week. Henley responded to the call of the animal being loose on 132nd Avenue. Neighbours managed to corral the burro onto a farm in the area, so it wouldn’t be harmed on the road. Henley was then in touch with the owner, who picked up the burro and took him back home. According to an RCMP spokesperson the police are grateful to all the people who assisted in keeping the burro safe, and to the family who looked after him for 24 hours.
