A former Mission RCMP spokeswoman is facing multiple charges after an off-duty fight with other on-duty officers at a Pitt Meadows country bar last June.
Shortly after 2 a.m. closing time on June 3, the officer got into an argument with a man as they exited Roosters Country Cabaret (19040 Lougheed Hwy.). As tensions escalated, uniformed on-duty officers already patrolling the parking lot stepped in to defuse the situation.
The off-duty officer allegedly assaulted the two officers and then was arrested and taken to jail.
"Whether on or off duty, police officers are subject to the same laws that apply to everyone," said Ridge Meadows top Mountie, Supt. Dave Walsh on Wednesday.
Sgt. Miriam Dickson is facing two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count each of resisting arrest and causing a disturbance.
