Dear Editor,
I do wonder what Mayor Ernie Daykin meant when he said he hasn't had any complaints "in general" about the CEED centre [Haney man upset by neighbour, Nov. 15, TIMES].
Here is the email I sent to him, the rest of council, and senior staff on July 9, 2012:
"At 7: 30 a.m. there was another fight on city-owned property at 117th and 223rd. This on top of the shouting match at 3: 30 a.m. In the last month I've logged and photographed individuals living and fighting at this city-owned property daily. On top of this, I have eight years of notes around the problems this one lot has caused. Why all of you allow, and have allowed this to go for the last eight years is disgusting. Useless signs mean nothing if this city-owned property is not secured. None of you will act, so I have no choice but to act. I do wonder where city hall's omnipresent concern for liability has gone to, in regard to this property that is owned by the city."
I wonder, "in general," what other correspondence the mayor is having trouble remembering.
