Maple Ridge-Mission MLA Marc Dalton and Ridge Meadows RCMP Supt. Dave Walsh were at Greystone Manor Thursday, where the RCMP Christmas choir  – led by Walsh – came to entertain the elderly residents as part of a week-long music tour.
Lorraine Bates, co-chair of the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society, darted between her office and the other buildings at the Albion fairgrounds that are used to store all the toys and gifts for needy families in the community who turn to the hamper society this year for help.
Tom Cameron, dubbed by some in the community as Mr. Claus, is once again co-chair of the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society.
Maple Ridge Councillor Judy Dueck cuddled her one-year-old granddaughter Jade McCartney during a press conference at the main fire hall in Maple Ridge this weekend, where Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq unveiled proposed changes for medical marijuana.
Helen Trudeau, chair of the community policing committee, RCMP Const. Krista Doncaster, and Aux. Const. Lynne Bradley were at the recent A Pitt Meadows Christmas festivities.

Maple Ridge’s chief administrative officer Jim Rule took pictures at a federal press conference held in the community, where changes were announced to growing and dispensing medical marijuana.
