Hundreds of people showed up to Family Literacy Fair at the Maple Ridge Library on Saturday.

New library manager Teresa MacLeod said the fair was a successful event.

“We had all the age groups, people sprawled all over the library. It was great day,” said MacLeod.

Snacks, games, readings, arts and crafts, Boris Sichon and his instruments, and Paula Justus were all part of the community family-friendly fair.

“This is a wonderful facility for this community,” she said.

MacLeod started two weeks ago, and transferred in from Mission Library.
