The verdict won’t be delivered until April 20, but as of this week one Maple Ridge developer already has fingers crossed. Projekt Homes Ltd. hopes to win top honours from the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association for the best custom-built home valued at between $500,000 and $599,000. GVHBA revealed its shortlist Wednesday for the annual Ovation awards.
Also in the running is Vancouver’s Bluetree Homes up for a people’s choice award for their Bluetree Homes at Kanaka Creek, a project that was also shortlisted in the best marketing and best townhouse/rowhome development of more than 2,000 square feet categories.
The awards, now in their fourth year, honour excellence in the design and construction of new single-family and multi-family homes, as well as the renovation of existing homes.
For the first time, the People’s Choice Award will allow the public to vote for their favourite new or renovated project.
Ovation Award winners will be announced at the Awards Gala on Saturday, April 20.

“High-quality home building and renovation are hugely important to the homeowners of Metro Vancouver,” said GVHBA chief executive officer Bob de Wit.
“The Ovation Awards recognize the industry’s leaders in innovation and excellence.”
