The District of Maple Ridge has hired a consultant, Don Luxton, to help work on a heritage strategic plan. People are being asked to complete a survey, which can be found at www.mapleridge.ca/EN/main/municipal/728/chc.html.

“This is an excellent opportunity to have our voices heard and to speak on behalf of our neighbourhoods and the features and characteristics of those neighbourhoods that make them so special to us,” said Val Patenaude, director of the Maple Ridge Museum & Archives.

“Our goal is to get responses well beyond the “usual suspects” whose contribution is welcome - as it always has been - but we need to show the district that interest and enthusiasm for community history goes well beyond that core group,” she added.
