Dewdney Alouette Railway Society is working on its diorama of Port Haney at the Maple Ridge Museum but need information about the old telephone office. Museum director Val Patenaude put a call out on the Facebook group We call it HANEY! looking for information about the building. The Facebook group maintains a discussion about the history of Maple Ridge.
The railway society, which has been working on the diorama in the basement of the museum for the past 28 years, the society has made models of Hammond, Port Haney, and Ruskin inthe 1930s witha miniature railway running through. They have recently added lighting to the display.
The Dewdney-Alouette Railway Society holds an open house in the basement of the Maple Ridge Museum the last Sunday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum is at 22520 116th Ave.
