Cassidy Craig in the foreground was joined by Tyya Craig, Caitlyn Speke, and cleanup instigator Emily Ducharme crawling through the bushes in Allco Park off 248th Street on Saturday. The rain didn’t deter these young women from pulling out garbage from the river and park. In two hours they collected one large garbage bag full, including three fish hooks, countless Tim Hortons coffee cups, small plastic bits, and numerous cigarette butts. The project was initiated by Ducharme, from the 1st Yennadon Scouts, to help earn her chief scout award.
