The event is open to anyone, and the topics revolve. The last event focused around food. The next gathering is Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Lougheed Highway bookstore.

Good news for 1st Haney Scouts and Ridge Meadows Search & Rescue. Between the two local organizations, they managed to raise more than $5,000 from this year’s annual Christmas tree chipping endeavour. Money aside, it was also a fun undertaking for many participants, including Rover Derek Morrison, (left), Venturer Gage Crawford, and Rover Jannemarie Smyth who were involved with picking up the trees.
