The 2012 Tour de Coast Cops for Cancer team whipped through from Pitt Meadows to Maple Ridge today (Tuesday) including Const. Dominique Bussieres from the Ridge Meadows RCMP.
With a pit stop at the local RCMP headquarters in downtown Maple Ridge just after a stop at Coast Capital Savings, the riders met with local RCMP officers and Supt. Dave Walsh.
Bussieres said the ride has been “awesome” and a “challenge,” and meeting with schools and other citizens along the way has been inspiring.
The stories they hear stories along the way and the sick children they meet has been very emotional, Bussieres added.
“That gives us the guts to push harder on the ride,” Bussieres said.
This was day seven of the nine-day Tour de Coast, which was 900 kilometres in length.
