Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Community Services wants people to share their stories with them.

They are holding a contest asking people to tell a story about how they got involved in their community, or how they supported someone else, how they helped someone who was feeling down, or how they overcame a personal challenge.

“Everyone has a story to tell,” said Carla Glasgow with community services.

However, she added, the stories can be published anonymously.

The stories should be one page in length and typewritten and should include contact information.

The top five stories will be published in The TIMES and the authors will receive a community services gift basket.

The deadline for submitting the stories is Oct. 31 and can be emailed to cglasgow@comservice.bc.ca.

The website for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Community Services is www.comservice.bc.ca. They are located at 11907 228th St. in Maple Ridge.
