Columnist's voice welcomed back

Dear Editor,

It's great to see Gordy Robson joining The TIMES as a columnist.

With his voice, maybe some in Maple Ridge can be heard again. It has been very frustrating over the past few years with a mayor who has abandoned east Maple Ridge and our unique concerns.

His opening column [Homelessness first up on columnist's hit list, Nov. 20 Just Saying, TIMES] was wonderful.

Perhaps he may think about reporting, for us left voiceless in east Maple Ridge, on an epidemic of mail box break-ins that has not been addressed.

I believe the mail boxes in my area have been broken into monthly for what has now gone on for several years.

Also, we have some concern over lack of policing, constant dumping of goods such as garden waste, beds, sofas (today another mattress set), the list goes on.

I am sure he has a lot to write about, much more important than my local concerns, but I appreciate seeing him at work, as always, for Maple Ridge.

Doug Grange, Maple Ridge
