Dear Editor,

People in Ottawa must think British Columbians are stupid. What a coincidence that, after they inform us they have to close the Kitsilano Coast Guard base to save money, we hear two things.

First, though we only need $700,000 to keep the base open and they say we don't have it, they announce a brand-new $6-million eastern coast guard base.

Then, only a day or so after that, we read that the land that the coast guard base sits on is up for sale.

Hopefully, they will discover that British Columbians are stupid enough to forget to mark an X on the ballot beside any Conservative names in 2015.

Between this, Enbridge, and several other issues, I'm pretty sure we won't be forgetting the contempt and arrogance shown to us.
